Who did you film with in 2011 and what are your plans for 2012?
I spent my season filming with Stept and Poor Boyz Productions. In 2012 I am going to do the same while staying healthy and stackin’ shots.
Any features or line stand out from the rest in 2011?
The most significant feature for me this past season was without a doubt the Breck dub-kink. It was one of those that just had to get done and it was a process. I’m just happy I didn’t add to the already standing death toll on that one.
Who and what influences your style?
I draw most of my influence from the kids that I am riding and filming with all the time.
Best and worst travel experience of 2011?
Going home to Boston with Stept this winter to hit rails was pretty much ideal. A ton of snow, a ton of spots, and the Boll residence as our home base. Big thanks to Pam Boll for putting up with our crew. On the other side of the spectrum was our Finland trip with PBP. Hotel was pretty wack. The spots were sick but you had to deal with elderly people tackling you and whatnot. Those people need some more sun in their lives.
Any close calls last season?
When I collapsed my lung up in Breck this season it was the first time I legitimately thought I might die. I was hallucinating pretty solidly and just trying not to panic, not what I would consider a good trip. Shit was fucked up. Nothing running a tube a couple feet into my ribs couldn’t fix.
What was the best gaper moment you witnessed last season?
Skiing at Mammoth. Didn’t realize how close LA is.
What are the most essential albums to your travel playlist?
Dark Side of the Moon and the rest of my Pink Floyd collection is pretty crucial when chilling on a plane or in the car.
What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
This pizza place in Boulder. I didn’t get paid. Although I did quit after 6 hours. Got a bunch of free pizza out of it.
What’s the one thing you look forward to in the off-season?
Chilling on some summer skiing, golfing, and I can’t forget those hundreds of hours I spend behind the computer every summer working on the Stept movie, that’s always sweet.
Shout outs to friends, family and other sponsors
My parents and family and everyone down to go out and get it done.
